Walk & Roll Challenge logo over a bicycle, promoting sweepstakes prizes

Reimagining the Walk & Roll Challenge.

Overview

The Walk & Roll Challenge is a Safe Routes Utah program that incentivizes kids to walk, bike, or roll to school. In 2019, I designed a new logo and visual identity for the program. Over the years, I carried that look and feel across posters, banners, and a promotional video.

The Challenge

The program’s old challenge, Walk More in Four, ran only twice a year. For 2019 it became a challenge every month of the school year, which meant holding kids’ attention far longer and including students who ride buses or live in rural areas.

The Idea

Retire the old name and look for something that welcomes everyone. A new logo and identity built around “walk and roll,” carried across posters, banners, flyers and a promotional video.
