Building the brand and story for Utah Trail Network.

Overview

The Utah Trail Network is a UDOT program building a statewide system of paved trails connecting Utahns to their destinations and communities. I established the program’s look and feel to design an informational flier explaining the program’s vision. I also directed an informational video explaining how the network started, its progress so far, and the vision ahead by traveling to capture trail footage in locations throughout Utah.

The Challenge

Excitement was building around the new Utah Trail Network, and government staff, planners and advocates wanted to know how it started and how legislative funds were being used. With winter arriving, there was little new footage to work with.

The Idea

Establish a look and feel for the program, then tell its story in a flier and a short video covering the network’s origins, progress so far and future vision. I traveled to capture footage of trails throughout Utah.
